Terms of service
The deal, in plain English.
Last updated October 29, 2026.
These terms apply when you use SiteSwap’s website, request an audit or preview, or buy a website, the monthly plan or an add-on from us. “We” and “us” means SiteSwap; “you” means the business buying from us and the person acting for it. By paying at checkout, you agree to these terms and our refund policy.
1. What we do
We build websites for service businesses. Before you pay anything, we build a preview of your new site and send you a private proposal with the price. If you decide to go ahead, you check out, send us your setup details, and we launch the site at your web address.
The free audit and the preview are free, with no obligation. You only owe us money when you choose to check out.
2. Prices and payment
- Your price is the one in your proposal. A launch price, if your proposal shows one, lasts for the number of days it states, counted from when you first open the proposal. After that, the regular price applies.
- Paying in full means one payment at checkout. A payment plan means the number of monthly payments shown in your proposal, charged automatically to the same card; it stops by itself after the last one.
- The monthly plan (“We look after it”) and any monthly add-ons are charged each month until you cancel.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prices are in US dollars. You’re responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and emails you. If it still can’t be collected, we may pause the work, or the monthly services, until it’s paid.
3. What we need from you
- Accurate business details (hours, services, contact details) through the setup form after checkout.
- Photos, logos and text you send us that you own or have permission to use. You’re responsible for having the rights to them.
- Access to your web address (domain), or the person who manages it, so we can point it at your new site. Never send us passwords by email; we’ll explain the steps.
If we’re waiting on something from you, launch waits too.
4. Launch and changes
We aim to launch within days of receiving your setup details. Simple changes before launch, like wording, hours, contact details and photo swaps, are included. Bigger changes, like new pages or sections, are quoted first, and nothing extra is charged without your OK.
5. Who owns what
Once your website is paid in full (including every payment-plan payment), the site’s content and design are yours: your text, photos, logo and the pages we built for you. You always own your web address, your email and your Google listing. We keep the right to reuse our own tools, code and know-how for other customers, and we may show your site as an example of our work unless you ask us not to.
6. The monthly plan
With the monthly plan, we host your site, keep it secure and up to date, deliver the request emails from your forms, make small changes like hours or photos, and check every month that everything works. You can cancel any time by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges; we don’t refund part of a month. If you cancel, we’ll help move your site to accounts you own so it keeps running.
If you chose to own the accounts instead, you pay the hosting company directly and look after the site yourself; we set it up in your accounts at launch.
7. Add-ons
Add-ons (like a custom email address, spam protection, a brand kit or the monthly AI-visibility check) are described in your proposal. One-time add-ons are done around your launch. The brand kit includes two rounds of changes. The monthly AI check asks AI assistants questions a customer might ask and emails you a report; their answers change from day to day, so it shows a trend, not a promise.
8. What we can’t promise
We build sites to be fast, clear and easy for search engines and AI assistants to read, but nobody controls Google, Maps or AI assistants. We don’t guarantee rankings, being named by AI, a number of calls, or sales. Your site depends on outside services (like hosting, email delivery and payment processing); we pick reliable ones, but we can’t be responsible for their outages.
9. Refunds
You can get a refund for your website as long as you ask before your new site launches, and for any add-on before it’s completed. The details are on our refund policy page.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.
11. Ending the arrangement
You can stop at any time by emailing us; see the refund policy for what’s refunded. We may stop working with a customer who doesn’t pay, asks us to do something illegal, or is abusive, and in that case we’d refund anything we haven’t delivered yet.
12. How we talk
We do everything by email, so you always have it in writing. We don’t do phone calls. We reply within one business day.
13. Changes and the law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and the version you agreed to at checkout applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
